What do volunteers do?
That depends! We have a few different types of positions:
- Cleaning – thoroughly clean the studio lobby, practice space, bathroom, changing rooms, etc (weekly)
- Prop Cleaning – steam mop studio mats, steam clean bolsters, wipe down blocks, washing blankets (monthly)
- Check-in – assist the teacher with managing the space before, during, and after class (daily or for special events)
- Deep Cleaning – clean the studio everywhere, including harder-to-reach places that don't get as much love during the weekly cleaning shifts (monthly)
- Assisting with community building events! (quarterly)
What do volunteers get?
- 1 $10 voucher per hour worked at the studio, issued at the end of each month based on recorded hours.
- Some restrictions apply, but vouchers can be used toward classes, memberships, most workshops & series, most retail, most trainings, etc. For more details, feel free to contact info@sanghastudio.org
What are the requirements for getting involved in work exchange?
- Be attending classes at Sangha for at least 4 months prior to starting the program so you have a good understanding of our energy, values and mission! (Know that you can come during this time and donate less than the suggested $10-$15 donation amount – whatever works for you, even if that means no donation.)
- Be able to commit to one role/task/job for a minimum of 4-6 months.
