Jasper Mala with Toggle Clasp
This jasper mala was made by our teacher Heather Pearson & features a golden tassel, protective eye pendant & toggle clasp. It's a bit longer than a traditional mala, hence could be double wrapped as a necklace. Jasper is thought of as the Supreme nurturer & is believed to absorb negative energy and balance the yin & yang qualities of life. The term ‘mala’ is a Sanskrit word for “meditation garland.” Originally, mala beads were used for a special style of meditation called Japa, which means, “to recite.” Find out more about the the history of malas here.
The finer details:
- 108 8mm jasper beads
- 42 inches in length
- Can be worn around the neck or wrapped around the wrist
- Traditionally used to keep count as you recite a mantra during meditation
