Our veterans classes happen at the local VA clinic and are adapted for people of any age, yoga experience level (beginners encouraged!) and physical ability. Each class is taught based on the principles of the Veterans Yoga Project.
Mindful Resilience is what we call the collection of mind-body practices that we teach: Breathing, Meditation, Mindful Movement, Guided Rest, and Gratitude. These tools help us breath easy, focus clearly, move freely, rest deeply, and remember what is working in our lives. As a result we become more resilient in the face of both ordinary and extraordinary challenges.
How to participate:
All participants but be signed up with the local VA (on Lakeside Ave. in Burlington, VT). To join class, come on in, get registered, and then join on-site for classes. Classes currently take place every week from 2-3pm. Following class there is a 2-3pm iRest class hosted by a staff member. Participants can join for one or both classes.
