Taylor Downs

For Taylor, yoga is an opportunity find and return to herself. She came to the practice in 2010 after recovering from a spinal fusion surgery which treated her severe scoliosis. Because of her background, she understands that all bodies are unique, and teaches from the foundation that everyone has the ability practice.

Taylor’s goal is to create space that allows for introspection, exploration, and empowerment. Mindfulness is a key component of her teaching, and she works to offer tools that can be used inside and outside of the studio in order to calm busy minds, manage stress, and regulate the nervous system. To this aim, Taylor’s classes often weave in breathing and meditation practices as well as optional hands-on assists & essential oils.
