Nicole Dagesse

Nicole is a yoga teacher, dance artist, and mother. Yoga was vital in her ability to stay present during the transformation of pregnancy, childbirth, and new motherhood. Nicole specializes in aerial yoga, pre/postnatal, and vinyasa flow. Nicole delights in opening her students to increased movement possibility in body, breath, and mind.

Nicole’s teaching style draws on her dance experience to create unique sequences that build toward a culminating asana or energetic state. Her fascination for anatomy and her experience with somatic practices are evident in her anatomical cuing and in the importance of proper alignment for ease and longevity. Her sequences range from spiritual to playful to wild, and she uses hands on adjustments to help students safely deepen into their practices.

Nicole teaches Aerial Yoga at Sangha Studio North and Aerial Dance at North End Studio. Using the support of an aerial fabric, these classes allow students to take their yoga experience to new heights, inverting with ease, strengthening with resistance, and flowing in a new relationship to gravity. Aerial yoga is great for all body types, yogic desires, and levels.

Nicole completed her 200hr yoga teacher training in 2011 at Om Time Yoga, Tillai University in Boulder, Co. She has since deepened her studies with advanced trainings with Sarah Powers, Shannon Paige, Gina Caputo, , Gabriel Halprin, Chris Loebsack, and Janice Gellar. Nicole did her pre/postnatal yoga training at the Asheville Yoga Center in North Carolina in 2014. You can find out more about Nicole and her teaching at worldtreeyoga.org.
