Heather Pearson, RYT 200, has practiced yoga since 2002. She always loved the asanas and how they made her feel physically. She found it to be a nice balance to her love of cycling, running and weight lifting. In the winter of 2015, she completed her teacher training at Green Monkey in Miami Beach. It was there where she was introduced to Jnana Yoga. Practicing this spiritual side of yoga has allowed her to be more mindful on and off the mat.
Heather’s classes take you on a journey beginning with vigorous standing sequences, followed by inversions, heart and hip openers and ending with pranayama and deep relaxation. Her love of music is apparent and her carefully crafted playlists are an important part of her classes. Expect a mix of hip hop, mash-ups, Top 40, classic rock and ambient music.
Although her classes are vigorous, all levels are welcome. She encourages her students to really listen to their bodies and do what is right for them that day.
When not teaching, Heather is running around with her two energetic girls, Maxine and Wynnie.
