Emily Jo began her yoga practice through meditation. She explored meditation for close to a decade before finding her way to the physical postures of yoga and going on to receive her E-RYT 200 certification from Sangha Studio.
In class, Emily Jo weaves meditation and thoughtful motion into each sequence to empower students to explore the mind – body connection and work towards a better understanding of themselves. She promotes the details of a posture as secondary to the quality of breath and a commitment to inner curiosity. Her classes are accessible with an emphasis on safe alignment, breathwork, and self care.
Whether it’s your first day on a yoga mat or you’ve practiced for decades, Emily Jo is dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment. She earnestly believes in these practices, and she is grateful for the opportunity to share them in this community.
