Emily found yoga years ago and dove into a personal practice welcoming the transformational effects it had on her life. Yoga was influential in Emily’s life, so she welcomed the opportunity to share it with others and completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2011 at Sonic Yoga in NYC.
While working through a wrist and shoulder injury, Emily discovered chair yoga and fell in love with the practice. All forms of yoga are powerful, but Emily is most drawn to teaching chair yoga, as it makes yoga more accessible to all. If you can breathe you can do yoga! The aid of the chair is a wonderful tool to support our bodies as we move through the asana.
In her classes, Emily hopes to create an environment where all feel welcome to come as they are, move their bodies, and breathe.
Along with teaching yoga Emily is a trained drama therapist, an adjunct professor at Champlain College, and a mom to 2 vibrant little ones.
